Sharise Harrison
Sharise Harrison, (she/her), Senior Consultant, is a philanthropy strategist and consultant with deep expertise in fundraising systems, strategy, and operations. She serves as President of Apra, the leading professional association for those who use data and insights to drive strategic decision-making in philanthropy. In this role, she leads efforts to elevate the profession and build inclusive, data-informed advancement practices across the nonprofit sector.
Sharise brings extensive experience in systems implementation, business intelligence, and operational planning. As Senior Director of Prospect Management and Analytics at Santa Clara University, she launched data-centered DEI initiatives and chaired the inaugural University Relations Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Taskforce, efforts that were featured in the Chronicle of Philanthropy. Her consulting and leadership are grounded in a commitment to ethics, equity, and impact.
She is a frequent speaker and writer on the role of data in advancing inclusive organizational practices. Sharise holds a master’s degree from Georgetown University, a bachelor’s degree from LaSalle University, and a Fundraising Operations Certificate from Rice University.
She currently serves as Assistant Vice President of Advancement Services and Prospect Management at California State University-Sacramento.
